Union Christian College is one of the premier co-educational institutions offering Degree Courses in Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The College is run by the North East India Christian Council (NEICC), a conglomeration of the protestant Churches of North East India.

The College began with a humble beginning on the 14^th of August 1952. At present the College is a replica of Cultural Diversity of -Northeast India catering to the academic needs of the students from the eight states (viz. Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim) of North-East India. Since 2015 the college also started enrolling students from other countries- Myanmar, Bangladesh, South Africa, Somalia, Zambia and Uganda.

The College runs 15 academic undergraduate courses (Honours and Pass Course) in Arts, Science, and Commerce Disciplines with 40% of its permanent staff having Ph.D. degree. The College also runs Certificate courses in Food & Nutrition, Fashion Design & Interior Decoration, Beauty Parlour, Geographical Information System (G.I.S), Computer Courses and Food Management.

• The College is permanently affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University (Affiliation No. CD/A.5/94-95/1064-65 dated December 13, 1995).
• The College is recognised under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC, Act 1958 (Recognition Letter No, F. No.1-1/2004 (CPP-I) dated 29 April 2009).

1. Admission to UCC is open to all on a first come first serve cum merit basis.
2. Any student providing incorrect, false or misleading information in the application form shall forfeit his/her admission to the College.
3. Failure to pay the admission fee within the stipulated time may lead to cancellation of admission and the seat offered to other candidates.
4. At the time of joining the college, the candidates must produce Xerox copy (self-attested) of the following documents:

• XII mark-sheet.
• Proof of date of birth.
• Caste/Tribe/ Community certificate if applicable
• Payment receipt.
• Migration certificate, if applicable (for students coming from outside MBOSE & NEHU).
• Print out of the Online Anti-ragging Affidavit (to be filled online by the students at http://antiragging.in).

2. After registration, check your email ID to verify the e-mail id and activate your registration.
3. Log-in using your email ID and password.
4. Admission will be given on first-come first-serve on the basis of past academic record and performance.
5. Please ensure that you enter the correct data in your application form, incomplete form may not be submitted or accepted.
6. Please ensure that you have with you scan copies of the following documents for uploading (size of the document should not exceed 200kb):

• Class XII Marksheet.
• Recent Passport Size photograph (white background).
• Birth Certificate/Class X Admit Card/ Any other birth proof.

7. After filling in the application form, candidates will need to pay the application fee of ₹500 through one of the payments method mentioned below.
8. Click Submit after you have made the application fee payment.
9. Candidates will receive a notification in their mobile no or email regarding the successful submission of the application form.
10. The admission office will verify your documents after which you will receive an email regarding the status of your application.
11. Candidates who are shortlisted for admission are to pay the admission fees within 2 days (non-refundable).
12. Methods of payment:

• Through the payment gateway available in the admission portal.
• Through net banking/ direct transfer/ NEFT in the College account provided below.
• through UPI (PayTM / GooglePay / BHIM, etc) in the College account provided below.

13. After payment of the fee, a copy of the transaction receipt (Student Name, Mode of payment, UTR no, date of payment, amount and Bank with Branch name) must be send by email to- admissionuccmegh@gmail.com.
14. Candidates will receive a notification in their mobile no or email regarding the acceptance of their admission. Other details like date of commencement of classes will also be notified to the students by email.
15. You are also requested to check the college website- uccollegemeghalaya.ac.in, for any update and notifications.
16. Failing payment, the admission shall stand cancelled and the seat offered to other candidates.

Admission Criteria (OC-8):

• Students who have passed plus 2 (10+2) in their respective stream or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board in India or abroad which is considered as equivalent by the University shall be eligible for Admission into the First Semester of Honours and Degree Course.
• Students who have passed plus 2 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from any Stream from a recognised Board in India/Abroad have the option to change to Arts Stream and the students from the Science Stream have the option to change to Commerce Stream only.
• Incomplete application forms and applications received after the last date will be not be entertained.
• Any student providing incorrect, false or misleading information in the application form shall forfeit his/her admission to the College.
• The Reservation Policy of Govt. Of India/UGC shall be followed.

1. Payment of fees shall be made preferably through online or digital mode. Fees once paid will not be refunded back.
2. Fees may be paid on full amount at one time payment or on Instalment basis as per the amount mentioned in the prospectus.
3. In case of withdrawal of admission, fee shall not be refunded and one semester fee must be deposited before the transfer certificate is issued.
